One Small Step for Baby, One Giant Leap to Mankind

It's been a while since our last blog and a lot of events has happened since then.  Josh has been walking with aid for quite sometime now, but on Sept. 12, 2014 he's finally built up enough confidence to finally walk all by himself unaided.

It all happened when Elen and I were training him to walk on his own.  We would do so by sitting on opposite ends and calling Josh to come, when he came we would catch him and give him a hug everytime he successfully made it across.  We started by sitting close to each other and gradually increasing the distance with each successful pass.  Before you know it, Josh was taking 4-5 steps with ease and Elen and I were at least 5 feet away from one another.  When Josh realized that he was walking on his own, he suddenly stopped mid-way between Elen and I and began walking in other directions.  It was almost as if our little game was no longer challenging him anymore.  In fact, he had so much confidence that night that he must've lapped our house at least 5 times.

It was a truly remarkable event and one that I won't forget.  Truly a blessing to be able to witness your child reach such a milestone.  Can't help but be a proud parent.
