9 Week Challenge - Week 7

WEEK 7 COMPLETED - One step forward and one step back seems the story of my challenge as I successfully completed the 7th week of my 9 week challenge.

Just as I was finally beginning to see results from all my previous efforts, it would seem all those efforts have been erased by a single day.  In one day we had 2 event parties (birthday party and father's day party).  So you can imagine the amount of food that was consumed within the day and what that would do to the scale the following day when I weighed myself.  Unfortunately these events can't be avoided and shouldn't be, so I'll just have to deal with the results as they come in.

With 2 weeks remaining left of my challenge, there is more pressure on me to work harder to achieve my goal.  At this point however, I would be content with reaching a 16% body fat instead of the 13% I originally set out to achieve knowing full well how difficult it was to just remove 1%. Realistically as well, given the time frame I have left, 13% will definitely be beyond my reach unless I decide to starve myself (which is never an option).  In the meantime I'll keep trotting along wtih my routines and hope for the best at the end of the road.

Highlight of this week's training and final weigh in:

  • Approx. 2.5 hrs of weight training.
  • Approx. 6 kms of running.
  • Approx. 6 kms of biking.
  • 0 hrs of badminton.

Final weigh in for this week:

  • 162.5 lbs (plus 1 lb from previous week).
  • 18% body fat (plus 1% from previous week).
