9 Week Challenge - Week 2
WEEK 2 COMPLETED - Yesterday marked the end of the 2nd week of my 9 week challenge. This week unfortunately did not give me the results I was hoping for, mostly because I got sick mid-way through the week.
Just when I thought I successfully evaded from getting sick from the first week, it unfortunately came back around and got me anyway. I was forced out of the sidelines due to my illness and lost 4 days worth of training and counting. To make things worse, I got Elen and Josh sick as well.
My primary goal for the start of the 3rd week will have to be to get better as soon as possible so I can resume training and make up lost ground. I have a lot of catching up to do while trying to nurse the other family members back to health too.
On top of my illness, Elen and I attended one of my friend's wedding as well this weekend. It was a great celebration of their marriage and love for one another, but not so great for my training as with any weddings usually meant lots of good food to eat.
It wasn't all lost cause this week, I did manage to get some training in earlier in the week prior to my illness and some light exercises even though I was sick. I also played in a tournament this weekend with Christian in the under 20/over 20 tournament (one person has to be under 20 years old while the other person has to be over 20 years old with a minimum gap of 10 yrs between the 2 players) and despite my sick state we still managed to make it to the semi-finals (mostly because Christian did all the running for me).
All in all, it wasn't the best week for me, but it could've been worse. Here are the higlights of this week's training and final weigh in:
- Approx. 3 hrs of both aerobic and weight training exercises.
- Approx. 15km of biking.
- Approx. 6 hrs of badminton.
Final weigh in for this week:
- 161 lbs (minus 1.5 lbs from previous week).
- 19% body fat (plus 1% from previous week).
